We have released a new version 0.0.6dr0 of ReadyGSM for Windows. The update includes an improved layout that eliminates the need for horizontal scrolling and makes it easier to have longer server names.
Also, improvements to port management have been introduced that now allow you to specify the port ranges that ReadyGSM will use. Our new Settings screen can be access by choosing “Settings” from the menus.
This means you just need to port forward the following ranges and ReadyGSM will distribute these ports among your various servers.
You can also use the Resource Monitor available in Windows to view which ports are being assigned to each server. In a future update, we will provide more information about which servers are using which ports, and a better understanding of the specific port ranges that are being used in case you want to fine-tune your port forwarding.
We suggest giving plenty of ports in the range to support the servers you want to host. Of course, our default settings provide about 1,000 ports for each type, but you can customize this to better fit how you use the program.
You can contact us if you have any questions about how to properly forward your port ranges, or check out PortForward.com to get some instructions about your specific router.
NOTE: The purpose of the Private TCP Range is currently for the RCON ports and these ports should not be forwarded by your router so they are not publicly exposed. In a future update, we will provide an option to decide if your RCON ports should be public or private. ReadyGSM cannot control the privacy of the ports, it is up to you to decide which ports you expose publicly. The program is simply allowing you to specify a range that you will choose not to expose, thus making it private.
